The update will be done? My approach is to upgrade to Windows 10 after it has been fixed and will play videos correctly. So I'm waiting to see if Microsoft is going to correct the problem with an update - you have got to be hearing this problem from many users. I reverted back to Windows 7 and now all video playing problems are solved. I tried the Windows 10 for about two weeks and became more dissatisfied with the lack of performance. So the problem is not something that the computer is lacking, it is something lacking in Windows 10. Updates to adobe flash player or updates to codecs. I did use Chrome to play videos from the websites and this seemed to work okay. The best I could get would be the sound in the video and that was it. After upgrade to Windows 10, NO MICROSOFT product would play any videos. Also, Windows Media Player would play AVCHD videos from my digitalĬamera. Before Windows 10, I had no problem playing video in IE - such web sites as Youtube, Microsoft how-to videos worked fine. I updated adobe flash player, also downloadedĪ few codecs to see if that worked. Even the Microsoft how-to videos would not play. However, no videos would play in either Windows Edge or Windows Media Player. I upgraded from Windows 7 64 bit, to Windows 10 in September. I want to know if Microsoft has made a fix/update to Windows 10 with regard to the video streaming problems in Edge and Windows Media Player (after upgrade to Windows 10).
